One day, I heard a lot of giggling going on in the break room, so I peeked in to see what fun thing was happening.
The English class was making S’mores. The week before, they read a story about camping and eating S'mores but our employees didn’t know about S’mores. So Eileen brought in all of the ingredients, along with written instructions of how to make S'mores.
They read the instructions out loud in English and followed them step by step. They used the microwave instead of a campfire and loved making them. Many said they would make them with their children. We always love to hear that.
It’s funny the things we take for granted. I grew up making S’mores at camp. From time to time we make them in our own backyard.
Our teachers do such a great job teaching English and making things come alive for our amazing employees.
