Weighting Comforts has the most amazing employees in the world. Our company is super unique as we have employees from so many different countries and backgrounds.
On any given day one employee is translating for another in order to communicate new information that will improve our products. On any given day our English teachers are working to create a safe place for immigrants and refugees to practice a language different than the one they grew up speaking. On any given day our Customer Service Manager patiently answers questions to help an anxious customer find the best blanket for that individual.
Whether their job description includes constructing blankets, creating social media content, or managing operations, they are all on board to improve the lives of others. We have had a lot of hard days lately but our employees keep working to improve this world, and Josh and I could not be more thankful!
4 years ago, I made every blanket we ordered and Josh shipped every blanket that sold.
Josh built our first website.
We did all the customer service ourselves.
My husband shot our first videos.
My friend created our first logo.
My husband lugged 50 pound boxes of beads into our garage.
My entire family weighed beads.
I met every customer in person.
NOW we have EMPLOYEES that:
Manage the Sewing Room
Train new employees
Weigh beads
Sew Blankets
Box blankets
Fulfill orders
Create content
Teach English classes
Verify immigrant/refugee status
Manage operations
Create systems for us to function better
Design graphics
Order supplies
Pay bills
Help customers
Improve efficiencies
Do you see all of these tasks?
When we look at all the tasks that our employees perform we are blown away. God has brought so many incredible people to Weighting Comforts. Some people we have known for decades. Others reached out to work with us because they want to be a part of something meaningful. The team that has been curated here blows my mind on a daily basis.
Thank you, Weighting Comforts Employees, for going above and beyond to make the world a better place.
